[TUTORIAL] Zombie Risers From The Ground

This is tested with mod tool v1.4 and Sniperbolt scripts v1.4 and game patched to v1.7






1. Create zombie spawner. Rightclick in 2D view and select actor->axis->zombie->ger_ber_sshonor

Give these KVPīs:
Code: [Select]
spawnflags / 3
script_forcespawn / 1
count / 9999
script_noteworthy / zombie_spawner
targetname / YOUR_ZONE_NAME_spawners
script_string / riser

2. Create a script_struct (rightclick in 2D view and select script->struct) and place it half way in the ground where you want the zombie(s) to spawn.

Give it KVP:
Code: [Select]
targetname / YOUR_ZONE_NAME_spawners_rise




That should do the trick.


Optional Info


If you wanna get your zombie rise from water, add this KVP to the script_struct :
Code: [Select]
script_noteworthy / in_water
If you wanna get your zombies chasing you without breaking any barriers down, add this KVP to the script_struct :
Code: [Select]
script_noteworthy / find_flesh
NOTE !
You canīt use the find_flesh and in_water KvP at the same time without custom scripting !!

How do you make it rise from water & start chasing you without windows, like in Shi No Numa? I tried

script_noteworthy =

find_flesh, in_water
in_water, find_flesh
find_flesh_in_water
in_water_find_flesh

but none of them work.
nazi zombie pit - about 90%
nazi zombie unnamed - 50% still got a lot left to do
nazi zombie epicwin - posted in WIP, all done
nazi zombie lavapit - 50%

Will that make them come out of water & chase you without unboarding windows? Cus the normal code of find_flesh is script_noteworthy, not script_string... nvm ill go test it...

oh i see u want them to do both.  well im not sure how to make them rise from water also, never tried it.  All i know is u give the script_struct a targetname and then  script_noteworthy    find_flesh to chase u without breaking down windows.  Ill have to give that a test and see what i can come up with

I know my tutorial isnīt perfect..so I would recommend you to follow these tutorials since zombie risers needs workings zones etc.

i tried it, there are yellow lines, but when i start all that happens is that it starts ending and starting roundes one after another.............................................

When I fixed your pathnode problem I noticed that you didnt have zones but your scripts were for 1.4 but you have your zombies kvp's for a prototype map. Theres nothing wrong with that but I just need to know what style of zombies you want risers for because there's different kvp's for the zombies in the different style maps.

ooookkkk... thats.. confusing at best, so.. what do i do? i have no idea how to get zones and risers working. Risers means they rise out of the ground like on verruckt, rite?

Yes, most common way to do things for 1.4 is to setup zones for your zombies.  Heres a .map example on how to setup zones and 2 threads on how to set up the zones if your interested.  Once you decide on what way you want to do your map post on here and ill give you a tutorial on how to set up risers.
